RTC Board Members
Get to Know Us
RTC is pleased to announce our Board members for 2025. Each member has contributed their time and passion for the ongoing success of the Rockingham Theatre Company. Please feel free to ask them any questions if you see them.
The Board acknowledges and thanks our outgoing President, Rob Walker.
Alison Gibson
President
Alison has been on the Board of RTC for over 35 years and was Treasurer for 33 years. She joined the Theatre when she emigrated from England in 1988 and her first major production in 1989 was "My Fair Lady" in which she played Mrs Pearce, the housekeeper of Professor Henry Higgins.
Alison has had many roles in RTC productions over the years - both on and off stage. She has directed some of the Theatre's most successful productions including two versions of "Allo Allo", "Dad's Army", "Ladies Night", "Calendar Girls" and most recently, "Mamma Mia!"
Sue Lawson
Vice President/Production Manager
Sue has been involved with professional and community theatre for over 25 years. She has committed herself to the RTC Stage Manager role since 2009 and has mentored many of our community group members to become efficient stage and prop managers themselves. Sue joined the RTC Board in 2019 and is responsible for all aspects of Show productions.
Michelle Smith
Secretary
Michelle is pleased to be able to serve the community on the RTC Board.
She has been associated with Rockingham Theatre since 2009 - both on and off the stage.
She commenced on the RTC Board in late 2022 and has been taking on the responsibilities of administration since then.
Jackie Hiscox
Treasurer
Jackie is new to the Treasurer role, but has a long history with the Rockingham Theatre Company. Beginning as a prompt in 2003, Jackie soon transitioned to the offstage roles of lighting and sound. She became a member of the board in 2004 in the secretarial role, which she remained in for 10 years. Made a Life Member in 2016, Jackie has since been involved in the running of the RTC bar, and has been the primary point of contact for ticketing and group bookings. Jackie is looking forward taking on the challenge of the Treasurer position, and will apply the same dedication and love that she brings to all her endeavours with the RTC.
Michelle Lawson
Board Member
Michelle has been involved with RTC since 2018 and has been a great addition with her creativity and 'can-do' attitude. Michelle can make just about any prop needed for a show and is also an efficient stage & props manager.
Michelle has served on the board for the past three years and currently oversees all aspects of front of house and managing our volunteers for productions.
Helen Brown
Board Member
Helen joined RTC in 2009 and has since been a regular on-stage.
She has directed several shows since 2019, including the recent 'Mother and Son'.
Helen wanted to give back to the theatre that has given her so much over the years and so became a Board member in late 2021.
She is in charge of the website, membership and sponsorship opportunities.
Callon Leam
Board Member
Callon has been an asset to the Rockingham theatre for several years and has given his time both on and off stage.
He brings youth and a differing perspective to the Board and it is great to have him here in charge of maintenance and photography
Tegan Joyce
Board Member
Tegan joined RTC in 2013 and has since been involved in many of our productions. As well as being a talented actress, Tegan is a capable crew member and valuable theatre member.
It is great to have Tegan on the Board and in charge of our Facebook and Instagram accounts.
